We accept a maximum of 8 children into this, the second of our rooms.
The staff ratio here is 1 adult to 3 children.
Children at this age are usually becoming more inquisitive and demanding
and will be ready to be placed in this room. Here children learn basic
social skills and courtesies such as consideration, tolerance and how
to share by interacting with other children. They will have a more structured
routine and because they are learning through play, activities, which
are designed for them, are designed to stimulate all aspects of their
development, such as language and communication, gross and fine motor
skills and creative skills. Activities such as singing, painting, Duplo,
playdough and puzzles etc. are provided. These are only a few of the activities
that the children take part in, but it gives you an idea of the things
which are included in the daily plans which are made for them.

There is a toilet area attached to this room, which, when children are
ready to be potty / toilet trained, they have easy access to. Further
to this, staff will support parents / carers by encouraging their child
to use the potty or toilet when they are in the Nursery.
When children are ready they move in with
our next age group in the Early Years Room.
