We accept a maximum of 10 children into this, the third of our rooms. The staff ratio here is 1 adult to 5 children.

When children are ready for a more structured approach, they progress into this room where staff plan activities of a more challenging nature which starts to prepare them for the next stage in their education eg: Reception Class / Primary School.

Children in this room are encouraged to work and play independently as well as part of a group, learning to participate and co-operate in new activities.

As the nursery is periodically inspected by OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education) to ensure that the appropriate level of pre-school education is being provided, children in this group will be working towards and covering Early Learning goals (formerly known as Desirable Outcomes).
